"The main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing." — Stephen Covey: I love these motivational quotes. Just yesterday I realized that I got off track for a bit and this just reminded me this morning to do just that. Keep the main thing the main thing. Simple. Too many times we tend to make things difficult. When its difficult, I have found that I am on the wrong track. When things flow smoothly and I am excited is when I am keeping on the main thing and on the right track. When studying NLP, one of the greatest lessons I got out of it was listening to my own inner dialog. I would be asking myself questions to which there were no real definitive answers so I would be running around a bush to no avail. It was frustrating and keeping me stuck. Now I am able to do the "brain yoga" as I like to call it, and ask myself questions which help me to get definitive answers. What this does, is brings the target closer. Can you imagine how easy things are when your target is so close you cant miss it? That is what they mean by keeping the main thing the main thing. Distractions only take your eye of the target.
