How much time?

I spend about 3 to 4 hours a day perusing the internet to keep my hands into whats new in technology, videos, ways of business and programs and I have to drag myself away from the computer because it could become an obsession always looking for the next best thing. I think its important to keep up and at least know what is out there and with sooo much information being able to sift through it quickly and efficienctly becomes second nature once you have done it for a while. Its a lot of extra time in my day which is why I get up so early, its the best time for me, its quiet, I am a morning person who functions best before noon and I feel great that the bulk of my work is done early. What I am seeing more and more of is what I call talking heads. Lots of information yet delivered in a way which is not interesting enough to captivate the viewer. I have to say that 80% of what I see I think should not be kept out there, it shouldnt make it there in the first place. There is nothing worse than thinking that just because its you, that people should listen. Its not true. People will listen once you have engaged them in what you are saying. Not until then. So remember if you are being taped, that camera is your audience. Engage it and bring it into the conversation. If you dont do that, your audience will tune out and then what is the point of it? Be sure to keep your message short and sweet, clear and concise. Embellishments are not a good thing. Make it interesting. Use your wit or the wit of others. Time is always a factor. Keep it short and to the point.
