Now that you have decided to go ahead with video for your website, here are some more things to consider. Are you having video to increase awareness, make money, improve your branding, marketing, or to create authority and fame? All these things have a different approach so be clear as to what the purpose of your video is. Once you have decided that, then be sure to bullet point your message. Now what form is your video going to be in? Will it be humourous, serious, or will it be story telling and information giving or demonstration of a product. The next step is to condense the information so that you can get all the important points in a 2 minute clip. Anything longer than that will lose your audience, unless of course you are magical and able to endear your audience. Once you have clarity on what and what format you are looking to have, then take some time to visualize what you want it to look like. Is there some add ons, like words running through the visual to emphasize your points? Is there a picture of the product which can be placed in the video for product recognition? Does your logo look good in the picture? Sometimes it can feel overwhelming to think of all the details, yet breaking it down into stages will make it feel easier.
